Modernising facilities at a historic Premier League stadium complex
Craven Cottage, the historic home of Premier League football club Fulham F.C., required refurbishment works to upgrade key facilities within the ground. The project focused on creating new, modern away team and official changing facilities, as well as state-of-the-art locker rooms. Working within an existing, iconic sporting venue presented unique challenges, including tight spatial tolerances and the need to integrate with existing structures

Solution and Approach
KODA was appointed to provide specialist structural engineering services for this important refurbishment project at Craven Cottage. Our team worked closely with the architects and club representatives to develop structural solutions to facilitate the creation of the enhanced facilities needed while minimising disruption to business-as-usual for Fulham F.C.
The project involved careful assessment of the existing building fabric in the designated areas, designing modifications to accommodate new layouts and services, and ensuring all new structural elements were robust and fit for the demanding environment of a Premier League football club. Our focus was on delivering practical, efficient designs that met the club's aspirations for high-quality, modern amenities.

Outcome and Impact
KODA's structural engineering input has made a significant contribution to the successful modernisation of key facilities at Craven Cottage. The new changing rooms and locker rooms will provide an improved experience for both home and visiting teams, aligning the club's infrastructure with Premier League standards. Our work ensured that these refurbishments are structurally sound and seamlessly integrated, supporting Fulham F.C.'s commitment to providing state-of-the-art facilities at their historic ground.
